Turf Short Rolls

Why do we have so many short rolls?

Our turf is manufactured in 200′ or 100′ long rolls.     When have an order for 3, 15 x 60’s for example, that’s 180′.   When we cut it from a 200′ roll that leaves us with 20′ of turf.   Similarly, if someone orders 3, 15’x 30’s, that’s 90′, which we may cut from a 100′ roll of turf, leaving us with a 10′ long, remnant piece of turf.

These accumulate over time and take up valuable space in our warehouse as you can see in the pictures above.   We gotta move ’em.

I’m looking for a piece that is 15×20 or 15×25 possibly for an indoor (concrete) place to train. Will be doing agility training mostly and so pitching work into a screen. Please let me know what you have.

    I have a 6′ x 42′ runway for my dog to run and play on. And a side section thats 10′ X 10′. Its a “L” shape.
What kind of pieces can I use so the blade are in same direction?

Hi Jim, We would recommend a 15′ x 35′ roll. That way you could cut 2, 6′ x 21’s and lay them end to end. You’ll have a 3′ x 21′ remnant. Then you’ll have a 15′ x 14′ left from which you could then cut a 10′ x 10′ off of the end of that. You could buy a 15′ x 25′ and a 15′ x 10′, as well. Would also be easier to move, but if you get one roll ensures the dye lots match exactly. When you get into smaller rolls, they are often remnants from older rolls and dye lots can change from year to year, like in any textile.

      Thanks!
