#36 Twine is a Heavy Duty Net, 190 lbs. of tensile strength, considered commercial Quality estimated 6 to 8 year lifespan. This is the most common gauge found in high schools, colleges and backyard batting cages. #42 Gauge is slightly heavier and often used in higher traffic, collegiate and pro levels.
